About Me

Hello all! My name is Beth Wentworth and I am 19 years old studying Elementary Education at Northern Kentucky University. I've lived in this area my whole life and hope to one day start my career here too. I'm the daughter of a Navy Veteran and a retired middle school teacher, and the youngest of 4 siblings. My mom taught at the middle school I attended for 26 years and my older sister is on her fourth year of teaching middle school in Georgetown, Ky.  Both of these women being such awesome role models to me is much of the reason I wanted to pursue a career in education. I've seen how hard they work and how passionate they are about instilling our youth with a solid foundation and education to change the world. Ever since I was 14, I've always had jobs that allowed me to work with elementary school aged students where I began to fall in love with that age group so it was very easy for me to decide what level of education I wanted to pursue.

I'm also a volunteer Young Life Leader at Cooper High School in Union, Kentucky. Young Life is a non-denominational Christian ministry that reaches out to high school students. I was extremely involved when I was a high school student myself and made the decision to stay close to home for college to become a Young Life leader. Through Young Life we also have a special ministry called Capernaum where we get to work with students with special needs. The picture below is of myself with my friend Brody at the Royal Prom, a special prom night we organize for our friends with exceptionalities. My current part time job is nannying for a sweet family of 2 elementary school aged children. I'm also an avid Harry Potter fan, lover of Target, and slightly addicted to coffee. Most of my time is spent at school, working, or with Young Life. When I'm not doing one of those things, I love to wood burn art or read books.
